Avocado PastaMonday, January 25, 2016
I think it was about time to post a new recipe on the blog, since I haven't
done that in while! Last time it was a very healthy and delicious beetroot salad
that you can find here :
I think that beauty comes also from the inside, so in order to look good in nice
outfits you also have to have a healthy lifestyle! That includes making sport
and having a healthy eating custom!
I love Italian food & pasta is my top favorite dish! So today i have for you the easiest,
most unbelievably creamy avocado pasta that everyone will love.
And it'll be on your dinner table in just 20 min! Isn't that something!
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
12 ounces spaghetti
2 ripe avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1/3 cup olive oil
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup canned corn kernels, drained and rinsed
To make the avocado sauce, combine avocados, basil, garlic and lemon juice
in the bowl of a food processor; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
With the motor running, add olive oil in a slow stream until emulsified; set aside.
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package
instructions; drain well.
In a large bowl, combine pasta, avocado sauce, cherry tomatoes and corn.
Serve immediately! Enjoy!
I don't know about you but I just love avocado! Other avocado recipes
you can find in the GOOD FOOD section on the blog!
And here are some of the benefits of avocado!
Getting protein from avocados is healthier than getting protein from processed
foods such as many commercial brands of peanut butter, bread, and cereal.
2. Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an antioxidant which helps rid the body harmful chemicals such
as free radicals. Free radicals can cause damage to our bodies’ cells.
3. Cancer Fighter
Consuming avocados regularly decreases the risks of various cancers
such as breast and prostate.
Lutein is abundant in avocados, and improves eyesight, protecting the eyes
from cataracts and other eye diseases affiliated with old age.
1. Reduces Marks and Wrinkles
Avocado turned into a paste and applied with shea butter is great at lightening
scars and leaving your skin looking radiant.
2. Clear Skin
A regular diet of avocados can help control acne breakouts. An additional benefit
includes increasing blood circulation to keep skin rejuvenated which
in turn helps remove dead skin cells.
1. Avocado Hair Mask
Avocados help nourish, moisturize, and rejuvenate hair. Vitamin E and B vitamins
help bring strength and protection to hair and hair follicles.
2. Regulates Hair Growth
Avocados are a great natural moisturizer for the hair. Hair loss begins when your
hair is dry and damaged. The moisture and vitamins in avocado help stimulate
growth and can control hair loss.
