         A few days ago I read an article on the internet about how there are some aliments
that can burn off calories. You can imagine that my first reaction was :
"YEAH RIGHT!!!", but after reading more not only on the internet but also in book
about nutrition, diets & health, it turns out that is actually true and scientifically
proven that there are certain foods which have a very high thermogenic 
effect - sounds weird :) it actually means you can eat stuff that puts your 
metabolism on high speed and that is how you can easily burn some calories as 
you chew ! Ain't that something?!!
       I totally love Science! Especially when it comes up with stuff like this,
I know that the right way to a perfect body is doing exercises & eating healthy and
I try to do that as much as I can , but there are some days when I just don't 
have the time&energy for jogging or going to the gym more than that - I don't 
crave for the perfect body, I just wanna feel good about my self and keep in shape 
for my health, so this post here is for all the women that love their body and just 
get lazy some times! Ladies - enjoy!

Here are those metabolism fire boosters:

Chicken and Fish
You burn about 30% of the calories the food contains during digestion 
(so a 300-calorie chicken breast requires about 90 calories to break it down).
Consuming a few servings of lean protein, such as chicken, fish, and tofu, each 
day may help keep your metabolism revving away long after you finish eating your meal.

Low-fat dairy products & yogurt
Rich in calcium and vitamin D, these help preserve and build muscle mass 
— essential for maintaining a robust metabolism.
Dairy has a bat reputation for high calories but yogurt - both low-fat & 
regular - contains probiotics = friendly bacteria that may actually help reduce the 
amount of fat your body absorbs.

Cinnamon and green tea
Drinking four cups of green tea a day helped people shed more than six 
pounds in eight weeks, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reports.
 To up your intake, keep a jug of iced tea in the fridge.
Adding 1teaspoon of cinnamon to something you eat every day  - cereal/yogurt -
helps blood sugar get into cells to be used for energy, so less is stored as fat.

Hot peppers
Capsaicin, the compound that gives chili peppers their kick, heats up your body, which makes you melt additional calories. You can get it by eating raw, cooked, dried, or powdered peppers, often used in hot salsa and in Indian or Chinese curry dishes.


 Caffeine kicks your metabolism into high gear and also jump-starts lipolysis, 
the breakdown of fat. One or two cups a day is ideal.

Whole grains
Your body burns twice as many calories breaking down whole foods (especially those rich in fiber such as oatmeal and brown rice) than processed foods.

  2. really good article. It's so important to eat healthy meals. In the other hand some people find it hard cos there are so many processed food available in the supermarkets which is cheaper than organic:-(
