Travel Diary - Giethoorn, Holland

Quarantine life has been a challenge for us because if there is something  we love the most to do & couldn't do for more than a month that is to travel ! That is why I reached to my archive and decided to share with you a wonderful place we visited before quarantine starte!
That place is Giethoorn or also called Holland's Venice !
Giethoorn is located in National Park Weerribben-Wieden, an idyllic village in Overijssel built on small peat islands connected by over 170 small wooden bridges!!! Here you can perfectly see how the Dutch love to live with and on the water. In an environment full of lakes, reed beds and forests lies this picturesque village with its many handsome farms
with thatched roofs and characteristic wooden bridges.
Fortunately, little has changed in Giethoorn. The tall wooden bridges are still there, and you can still travel the waters on a punter, as well as on an electric boat or a tour boat. A 1 or 2-hour boat tour takes you past the gorgeous 18th and 19th-century farmhouses and under the bridges. But best is to see it for yourself in the picture!

We had a delicious dinner at the Fratelli Restaurant - right there on the water channels !
It was perfect!

  2. Cheap flights are airlines that offer the cheapest flights rates by keeping their costs low. They usually have no meals served on board or they will charge for on board food. They also reduce their costs by landing on cheap airports, directly selling tickets, and having one travel class to reduce on the administration. The cheap fare flights companies will also use new planes to reduce on maintenance costs. Cheapest Flights
